1. Data Collection & Privacy
Quick Symbols is designed to be privacy-first. We do not track your browsing activity, clipboard history, or keystrokes. The core symbol search and copy functionality runs entirely locally on your device.
2. Payments & Licensing
To unlock Pro features, the extension verifies your license key using a Razorpay-backed license service operated for Quick Symbols.
Data Transmission: When you manually enter your license key, we transmit the license key to our license API to verify that the associated Razorpay payment is valid and not refunded.
Local Storage: If your license is valid, we store the license key and Pro entitlement locally in your browser (chrome.storage.local) to keep your Pro features unlocked.
No Card Storage: We do not store card details or payment credentials. Payment processing is handled by Razorpay.
3. Local Storage
We use Chrome's local storage (chrome.storage.local) to save:
Your list of "Recently Used" symbols.
Your "Favorite" symbols.
Your license key and Pro status.
This data never leaves your browser.
4. Third-Party Services
Razorpay: Used for payment processing. Razorpay's privacy policy applies to checkout and purchase processing.
Quick Symbols License API: Used only to create orders, verify payments, recover license keys, and check license status.
Google Fonts: Used to load the Charm and Inter fonts in the extension popup.
5. Updates to this Policy
We may update this privacy policy to reflect changes in our practices. If we make any material changes, we will notify users through the extension update notes.
